Hello DFG Supporters and future members!

I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday and are ready for the New Year!  2012 has many exciting events and opportunities that are waiting and one will be the Official Launch of The DSLR Filmmakers Guild on January 6th, 2012!  This will be the soft launch of our website and officially open up membership to our worldwide filmmaking community!

It has been a complete honor working with my small team and building such a strong community of artist from across the globe on Facebook.  It is my pleasure to finally bring about an organization that will provide direct funding and resources to its supportive members.  The only way we can support an organization that will provide incredible benefits to our filmmaking movement is by a strong membership base of support. We are pleased to bring this to the industry and be an active part of the digital revolution.

I have been spending hours returning emails asking about membership levels and opportunities for advancement, etc. and we have finally decided on a membership program that will support growth and stimulate innovation.  The membership you decide to apply for will be based on your amount of support and participation you’d like to have/provide in the Guild.

 The Official Membership, with a $99.00/year due cycle, will include full access to all benefits including sponsorship and grant opportunities but also a vote in all Board, Ambassador and Project Funding elections and polls. Official Members will receive their members special edition cap and membership card free of charge and access to all DFG festivals, private screenings, premiers and events in Los Angeles, CA (HQ) and across the globe. This membership is open to all applying filmmakers from amateur to professional. All who are offerred membership will be the founding members of the DSLR Filmmakers Guild!

The Guild Ambassador Membership, with a $250.00/year due cycle will consist of a small group of Professional filmmakers who wish to be members of our Guild Congress (GC). Once we are able to support our desired grant and sponsorship programs, all project submissions by Guild members will be reviewed by voluntary participating members of the GC, then submitted to the Board of Directors for final approval. It is within the GC that the (2) Board Member seats will be voted on every year by all our members. These individuals will also be provided with Ambassador special edition caps and membership cards. We would like these positions to be filled by individuals who are the movers and shakers in the industry.  We love individuals that push boundaries and in the words of Facebook’s Founder Mark Zuckerberg, “Move fast and break things.”

We are interested in Brand Ambassadors in all regions across the globe and if you wish to become part of our founding Guild Congress, we would love to hear from you! 

We are also excited to open a guild store on the website that will provide supporters and non-members the ability to grab a hat with our crest and sport a t-shirt at the next Canon expo!

We are absolutely delighted to begin the formation of our Guild and ask that you please spread the word to your crews, your constituencies and those whom you trust will be leaders in the digital revolution of film and help our progression.
